During September 2026, Dr. Przemysław Piasecki, Assistant Professor at the Department of Labour and Social Policy at Poznań University of Economics and Business (Poland), will be conducting a scholarly visit at our institute.
Dr. Piasecki’s research spans two interconnected areas. The first centres on human resource management in co-operative financial institutions, with a particular focus on training and employee participation. Within this line of inquiry, he examines the relationship between co-operative values and principles and employees’ attitudes, situating his analysis within the broader framework of person-centred humanistic management. His second research area addresses human resource differentiation, exploring the dimensions of this phenomenon and its relationship with labour market segmentation.
During his visit, Dr. Piasecki will collaborate with Dr. Agustina Malvido on several fronts. The two will present initial results from their joint article examining the determinants of the Employee Net Promoter Score in co-operative banks. They will also exchange teaching experience, discussing approaches to conveying co-operative values and principles in the classroom and strategies for deepening student engagement with these topics.
Additionally, Dr. Piasecki will present findings from his prior research with Polish co-operative banks, opening a discussion on how those findings may speak to the German context. This will contribute to the ongoing research carried out by the BICS on membership growth in cooperative organisations with the support of the BVR.
